The Awesome Power Of Taking Action
by June Hardy
I’ve always known how important it is to have goals. And that once you have a written goal you must take some action towards achieving it. I just didn’t expect to have it pointed out to me so graphically as the day I started to feel a little less than confident about my car!
I’d better start at the beginning. For a while now, the car has needed some work done on it. After all, it’s isn’t getting any younger and I’ve been starting to feel a vague dissatisfaction about it. One day, my wife and I were out for a drive. We’d just been through a very bad time with our business and were listening to something motivational on tape to buoy ourselves up. This specific tape once again stressed that there are no limits to what we can be, have or do if we just make the decision.
No limits? REALLY? O.K. then, why not have a Mercedes!
Since we were out for a drive anyway, we took a small detour over to the local Mercedes dealer. Oh boy! there were some great cars there! A couple of older models really caught my eye and I could see that we could indeed plan on owning a Mercedes some day, and who knows - maybe sooner than we think! We drove home wondering how to make it a reality.
The next morning we woke up to find that our car had been stolen out of the apartment parking lot during the night. Our car gone? This only happens to other people!
The insurance company paid for a rental car - and of course, they didn’t have a small one available and upgraded us to luxury model - wonderful! Since our car was one that was a popular choice for thieves our insurance company decide to wait only two weeks before making a settlement - and it turned out to be an excellent settlement due to a top-of-the-line paint job we’d had done not too long ago.
We got our settlement on a Friday and on Saturday morning we found the perfect car - newer, of a higher quality and in superb condition! - which we were able to negotiate for the exact settlement price. The following Thursday we took possession of our new car and proudly drove it off the lot.
…And we knew without a doubt that THIS was our “Mercedes”. We had made our goal come true through desire and action!
The next evening we got a phone call from the local police - they had found our stolen car!

Successful Offline Avertising Tips For Your Online Business
by Luca Di Nicola
For many business owners the mere mention of the word “advertising” sends a shudder down their spine. The truth is that advertising doesn’t have to be scary. And once you have a little know-how it’s a whole lot easier than you may think.
Advertising generally does require some budget and the right budget coupled with the right advertising can heed great results. However, that doesn’t mean that a small budget can’t give you results - it just means that you can start out small and work your way up.
With that in mind, here are some quick and easy tips for affordable and easy advertising.
Start in your own neighborhood - “there’s gold in them hills” - there sure is and right in your own backyard. Tuning into your local community means you don’t have to spend a fortune to gain exposure. Don’t ignore your local community when starting out. This is a great place to test the advertising waters.
Put up well-written ads on your local supermarket board, get the local school to pass out your business flyers (in exchange for a donation) and send a press release to the local media. Local radio stations and papers are always looking for new businesses to put in the lime light so this is a great exposure opportunity.
Think “outside the box” - “necessity is the mother of invention” - if you don’t have a whole lot of money to start with then it’s time to invent clever solutions to get your advertising campaign going.
The best place to start is with related businesses. Many business owners are willing to help each other. Say you own a massage business, then you can visit local hair salons (that don’t offer massages) and trade advertising with them. In exchange for them putting up your cards/flyers then you can recommend your customers to their salon. Take it one step further and offer an exclusive discount to X salon members only and ask the salon owner to do the same for you - keep in mind this will only work if the discounts are exclusive.
You can trade advertising with a variety of all-ready established businesses (as well as start ups) and do quite well. As your budget increases then you can invest in other forms of advertising.
Spread the Word - Be proud of your business and ready to tell everyone you come in contact with all about it. Carry well-designed, catchy business cards with you and pass them out to people you meet. Give friends and family members a handful of cards and ask them to pass them out for you.
And don’t be afraid to ask your current customers to do the same. Word-of-mouth recommendations are a sure way to increase your business. Ask your customers to tell their friends about you and even get them to pass out business cards. Of course, you want to give them an incentive for helping you - perhaps a discount on your services or an extra free product.
Become a Walking Ad - That’s right. You can cheaply have t-shirts made with your company logo. Take it a step further and print a catchy ad on the shirt - a plain logo and phone number can often be overlooked but a catchy ad will sure spark attention.
Also, take the time to smile and meet new people - remember you are now representing your business in flesh and blood. If you’re nice and approachable people will want to know more about you (and your business) and you never know where this could lead.
It does take a little time, thought and creativity but a limited budget doesn’t have to mean you can’t advertise. It’s just a case of starting small and building up as you go along.

5 Benefits To Starting A Home Based Business
People have been flocking to the Internet to take advantage of the numerous benefits it has to offer for quite some time now. With the economy where it is today, it is just that much more of a reason to start a home based business. Here are five benefits to starting an Internet home based business.
1. Do what you want. There is no limit as to what you do online. As long as there is public appeal, you can start a career in it. This gives you the freedom to start a business in something you have a passion for and are experienced in. It is much easier to succeed with a business when you are interested in it and are willing to do whatever it takes to succeed.
2. Work when you want. The Internet never sleeps and you have no one to tell you when to work. This gives you the ability to work whatever hours you want. At the same time, it is recommended you set a schedule for you to work off of so you can get in a routine. As soon as you get in a routine, you will find yourself working with ease.
3. You are the boss. No one likes to work under others and take orders. There is no greater feeling than knowing you will not have to work on projects you have no interest in or have to work under tight deadlines. You can do what you want, when you want at your own pace.
4. Multiple tasks. One of the problems of working in a specific career is that you wake up knowing you are going to do the exact same thing you did yesterday. It becomes monotonous and boring to do the same thing over and over. With a home based business you will be doing something different every day. You are the advertiser, writer, graphic designer, customer service and boss all at the same time.
5. Job security. With the economy the way it is, many wake up hoping they will still have their job when they get to work. With the Internet, you can rest assured that you still have your job. Of course it is up to you to promote your business and generate traffic for sells. But you never have to worry about losing your job in one day.
These are just a few of the many benefits you will find with having a home based business. There really is no limit as to what you can accomplish on the Internet, which is just what people want to hear and look forward to in the future.
It is time for you to find a possible residual income stream. We have six of them in this site! You won’t be regretted to join it but perhaps will be regenerated if you miss this opportunity. Take your action and change your life now!

Baseball and Your Business
With the World Series in full swing I felt it would be fitting to pass on this article written by one of my mentors named Ben Sturtavant. Ben is a top 5 money earner with Lightyear Alliance and has helped me a lot personally in my business. Here is what he had to say:
In addition to being a full-time MLMer I also have the pleasure to continue one of my passions in life - I play semi-pro baseball. So much of baseball translates to Network Marketing. When coaching new reps we MUST teach them that there is no such thing as failure in MLM - just attempts that didn’t get our desired result.
In baseball the best hitters in the league have a batting average of .300 - in other words they don’t reach base (their goal) 7 out of 10 times. To a “newbie” in MLM who has 7 leads out of 10 tell them they aren’t interested, well, they view that as “failing” 7 out of 10 times. The earlier you can help someone move away from this thinking the more likely it is that you extend their longevity in their MLM business.
Let’s face it, we associate “failure” as being a negative - which in its purist form is. However, in MLM there is no such thing as failure. For those of you who have yet to learn this I hope this
finds you. For those of you who know this already it is your responsibility to pass this information on. It is such a shame to see people give up on their dreams and aspirations because they don’t understand that MLM is nothing more than a process that must be exercised consistently. This is just the same type of process as hitting in baseball. If I want to be a good hitter I know that I must go through the process of practice (to improve my swing and
increase my chances of achieving my goals) and games (to give me opportunities to achieve my goals). If I never stepped into the batter’s box I’d never have the opportunity to succeed.Remember this the next time you think you’re not getting the results you want. I remember feeling frustrated when I’d get into the “dry spell” of MLM - you know where no matter what you do it seems like you can’t find anyone who wants what you have. I’ve had the same slumps in baseball where it seems like I can’t buy a hit. However, I don’t quit the game. Why? Because I know it’s a matter of time until the process works itself out. Your MLM process will do the same. Stay the course, continue to work on yourself and help others do the same. Your success is inevitable and failure is NOT an option!
You can see Bens website where he explains this business at www.lyaintro.com, Then give me a call at (865)686-6572 or (877)779-4760. I would be happy to help you hit one out of the park.
Another Reason to Work From Home
I took my family camping this week. We were gone 3 days and had a blast. I love spending so much time with my family. We roasted marshmellows walked through the forrest. My four boys found turtles, toads, snails and a lot of other wildlife.
Right now I am just working from home part time, but I can see the advantges of beeing at home full time. Working full time from home really gives you the opportunity to do what you want. Especially working with a compoany like Lightyear Wireless. I could take my family across the country and not miss any work. The freedom is amazing. This week I was away but was still getting paid on my cell phone.
If you are like I was and are looking for a good opportunity to make life better for your family then take a look at this company I work with. There is great earning potential it lets you work at your own pace. Take a look at my website to see more details or call me at (877)779-4760. You owe it to yourself and your family to at least take a look.

How to Succeed With Lightyear Alliance, It’s Simple
A lot of people seem to think that they can not make money in network marketing. That is not true. The formula for making money is really very simple, you just have to do it. A mentor of mine, BenSturtavant, explained exactly what he does to grow his business:
“Someone recently asked me what I do to build my business? Here’s exactly what I told them:
1. Make contact with a person and qualify them to see if I want them on my team.
2. Get them into the live web presentation (or lyaintro.com) to see if it’s right for them.
3. Follow up and get the decision.
4. Teach those willing to follow my lead to do the same.
I have 100% confidence that ANYONE can make A LOT of money in this business because I believe ANYONE can do those 4 things above. And those 4 things are all I do to make a lot of money in Lightyear. Now, if they choose not to do them then that is on them, not the company, the product, or the system.
It is impossible for someone to say that “this just doesn’t work.” That’s ridiculous because people are proving that it works. Lightyear as a vehicle does work, it’s people that don’t.”
Ben is a top five money earner with the company and he knows what he is talking about. It’s simple like I said, especially when you factor in the recent promotions that you can take advantage of.
Are You an Optimist or Pessimist?
By and unknown auther.
I have been giving some thought lately to optimism and pessimism. Basically, these are attitudes. Attitudes that shape and formulate our entire existence. I mean, have you ever met a happy pessimist? Of course not.
In short, our optimism or pessimism is this:
-The way we interpret the past
-The way we experience and view the present
-The way we imagine the future
Have you given much thought about how your attitude, whether you are an optimist or a pessimist, affects you business, organization or school? Have you thought about how it affects you personally? And what about the team you are a part of?
What is optimism? It is a belief that things in our past were good for us, even if that means they were hard and taught us lessons. It is also the belief that things will be better in the future. Here are some contrasts between optimism and pessimism and how they affect us:
-Optimism breathes life into you each day
-Pessimism drains you
-Optimism helps you to take needed risks
-Pessimism plays it safe and never accomplishes much
-Optimism improves those around you
-Pessimism drags them down
-Optimism inspires people to great heights
-Pessimism deflates people to new lows
There is only one way that optimism and pessimism are the same and that is that they are both self- ulfilling. If you are an optimist, you will generally find that good things happen to you. And if you
are a pessimist, you will find yourself in the not-so-good situations more often than not. So can a person just become an optimist? Yes! We can choose to look at the world any way we want to. We can choose to look at the world and think the worst, or we can tell ourselves the good things about each situation. As you
find yourself looking at your enterprise, begin to view it through the eyes of an optimist, and you will reap the rewards listed above, and so will the people around you.
There are tremendous benefits to being an optimist, as stated above. But there are some pessimists out there who will say, “But that isn’t realistic.” I say “Who cares?” If things go awry, at least I have spent my time beforehand enjoying life and not worrying about it. And, being an optimist, I would view the “negative” situation as an opportunity to grow and learn. So I can even look forward to my failures because they will be stepping stones, and learning tools to be applied to my future success. Have you ever met a successful pessimist? Become an optimist and see your world change before your eyes!
What Makes Lightyear Different?
By Ben Sturtevant
After going through our lyaintro.com presentation some people come away asking, “How are we going to be able to compete with companies like Verizon and AT&T?”
The difference is that our competitors sell their customers and create no loyalty. Lightyear gives ownership and the ability to create leverage to its customer base - therefore creating a LOYAL customer base.
Network Marketing is about relationships which means that we have relationships with our customers. I am never leaving my service because it’s my business. My grandmother is never leaving my service because I am providing her a quality service at very competitive prices but most importantly because she is doing
business with me.
Do no overlook the power of the relationship. No, I am not saying you need to go out and sell all of your family and closest friends our service. We don’t need to do that. I’m saying that a lot of
people doing a little bit will produce HUGE results!
Look back at Excel Communications. When I joined Excel in 1997 they had just reached $1.4 billion (that’s BILLION folks) in revenue, had just gone public, and they have over 1.5 million REPS (not customers but reps). This was in their 8th year in business! In their entire company they had a little over 7 million customers. Now, do the math: divide 7 by 1.5. That comes out to 4.67 customers per rep.
Please stop and read that paragraph again. In 8 years Excel became the 4th largest Long Distance company in the U.S. and the average rep only had 5 customers. They didn’t have 100 each, they didn’t
have 50, they didn’t have 20. They had 5 customers each on average. So, if you look back at Excel ask yourself, where they out selling people long distance? The answer is NO! They built
their company using Network Marketing - a relationship based business. They created a situation of a lot of people all doing a little bit (sound familiar)?
Now, let’s do a little Lightyear math. Let’s say we do the exact same thing as Excel over the next 8 years. We’re going to go out and build a company of 1.5 million reps who each have 5 customers.
That will give Lightyear 7.5 million customers. Now let’s say those customer average $60 a month on their wireless bill. That means Lightyear will be billing about $450 million PER MONTH just
in wireless. Multiply that by 12 years and what you get is a $5.4 BILLION DOLLAR COMPANY!
Okay, now go back and look at these numbers again. We have the same customer to rep ration (5 to 1) but we are 5 times as big in our results. So what’s the moral of the story? Forget about selling wireless and focus on building your outlets!
Excel built their success story with Long Distance and no, they did NOT have the cheapest service in the industry. In most cases they were 20% more than everyone else. Then how did they do it? They
did it by creating loyal customers through relationships and networking. Go out and network with people. Sign up the people as reps who want to take part in our financial opportunity and enroll customers from the people who do not. It’s really very simple.
Think of it like this…
Let’s imagine that the $155 billion dollar wireless industry is represented by a giant football stadium filled with $1 dollar bills (155 billion of them). And you have joined Lightyear which entitles you to a vehicle to remove money from that stadium. Picture yourself with a wheelbarrow and a shovel. The moment you
joined Lightyear you now have the opportunity to start shoveling and wheeling money out. Now imagine you’ve built a team of 10 people that are doing their own shoveling and wheeling out of money too. Is more money coming out with your team than just you alone? Yep. Now imagine you’ve built a team of 100 people who are also doing this. Are you moving more money than you and your 10 people combined now? Yep! Now imagine you’ve grown a team of 1,000 people that are all moving their own wheelbarrow of money in and out of the stadium. Starting to get the picture? Not yet, well have a look at this…
1,000 wireless stores X 5 customers each X $60 a month X 4% = $12,000 a month in residuals - from wireless alone!
Let’s go out and build the system and the customer revenue will come!
I’ll see you at the top!
