Recipe for Effective Leadership
Leadership in business is very important. Effective leadership is essential. There are a few things that can be done to develop this effective leadership. Robert Mittelstaedt, Jr. explained it as a “recipe for effective leadership.”
Work with your team to develop an understanding of what is really important. Say what’s important in three sentences or less - and live it through daily actions and reinforcements. Support your team as it thinks of new ways to get that job done. Be patient - it may take several years before people realize you take this approach seriously. Caution: Don’t become so involved in big picture thinking that you don’t see the details.
Follow this simple recipe and you too can be an effective leader.
