What Do You Want Out Of Life

While it’s true that some situations in life can’t be controlled, most of life is what we make of it.  We have all heard the line “if life gives you lemons, make lemonade.”  We have the power to control our attitude and our reactions to what happens to us along the way.  I recently came across this gem out of Napoleon Hill’s book, Think and Grow Rich.  Read it carefully and ponder what it means to you.

“I bargained with Life for a penny,
And Life would pay no more,
However I begged at evening
When I counted my scanty store.
For Life is a just employer,
He gives you what you ask,
But once you have set the wages,
Why, you must bear the task.
I worked for a menial’s hire,
Only to learn, dismayed,
That any wage I had asked of Life,
Life would have willingly paid.”

Napoleon Hill - Think and Grow Rich

Life is what we make of it.  If you are not happy with where you are now, change.  Do what you have to do to get what you want out of life.  Don’t let another day go by without doing your best.
